Selmer Mark VII Tenor Saxophone 1977 Serial #M267404

Description

This Selmer Mark VII tenor saxophone is in very good condition with 90-95% of the original lacquer. There are some light dents above the serial number on the back of the saxophone.  There is a very light ding in the body just to the left of the neck hook ring. There is some wear on the back bottom key guard and around the tone hole where spit tends to accumulate. This does not affect the playability of the horn. The key guard above the bottom thumb rest was re-soldered and had some spot re-lacquering done. Please see pictures for details. The serial number is “M267404” making this a 1977 vintage tenor saxophone. Above the serial number is engraved “Made in France Brev. S.G.D.G. 920653 U.S. PAT+ 2710558 U.S. PAT+ 2846917”. The engraving on the bell is crisp and reads “Henri Selmer Paris” engraved in laurel leaves and “Selmer Made in France” with the R trademark sign. Scrolling leaves surround the engraving and go down the bell. It has “Mark VII” engraved on the bottom bell ring. This tenor saxophone comes with the original “M7” neck with the Selmer “S” on the octave key. The neck is in very good condition. It has a used Selmer case in good condition. No mouthpiece is included.
