Description

This King Silversonic two tone cornet has 95% of the clear lacquer finish on the sterling silver bell, 95%+ of the lacquered finish, and 95%+ of the gold wash bell finish remaining. It has only light player wear over the entire horn. There is some light dent removal evidence in the lead pipe and light evidence of bell dent removal. The serial number is "385967" making this a 1963 vintage horn. The sterling silver bell has just been polished and it looks fantastic.  It comes in the original case which does show some age wear but is still in good condition. The original H. N. White Co. C mouthpiece is included. The engraving reads "King Silversonic Made By The H. N. White Co. Cleveland Ohio". "Sterling Bell" with the sterling logo is above the engraving on the bell.  The sterling silver bells on the Silversonic models give them a classic sound.  This horn is no exception and has the super rich tone and exceptional overtones that Silversonic models are known to produce.  This cornet has an exceptional brilliance in the upper register and it plays beautifully up and down the entire register.  It has great response and the valves incredible action and are very quiet.  This is probably one of the more beautiful horns that King ever made.
