C.G. Conn Connqueror 26M Alto Saxophone with Naked Lady 1936 Serial #M271503A
Description
This C.G. Conn Connqueror 26M alto saxophone is in mint condition with 95%+ of the original lacquer. There is a small imperfection in the lacquer on the bottom bow and on the neck but otherwise, this horn is pristine! Please see the pictures for more details. The serial number is “M271503A” which makes this a vintage 1936 instrument. Engraved on the back of the body is “26M PATD. DEC.8.1914. 1119954 PAT. APP'D For A M271503A L”. The engraved letter “L” below the serial number denotes that the horn is in low pitch. Until the mid-1940’s, Conn made both high, and low-pitched horns. This horn has rolled tone holes, mother-of-pearl rollers, wire key guards, adjustable bottom thumb rest, and silver accented key work. The engraving on the bell is beautiful with a full bust Naked Lady engraving and the words “Connqueror Made-by C.G. Conn Ltd. Elkhart-Ind. U.S.A.” This horn comes with the original micro tuner, double socket/sleeve style neck "Patented" on the microtuner and "STD'D M" on the neck opposite of the octave keyhole.. The neck is in great shape with no evidence of pull-down. It comes in the original case which is older and still in good condition. A mouthpiece is not included.
