C.G. Conn 10M Tenor Saxophone with Naked Lady 1948 Serial #331382

Description

This C.G. Conn 10M tenor saxophone with Naked Lady engraving is in very good condition with 90-95% of its lacquer finish remaining. The bottom bow shows signs of light dent removal. The top brace for the bell key guard on the body side has a visible re-solder. The left hand pinkie cluster shows a bit of wear around the edges of the cluster. This saxophone has wire key guards, mother of pearl rollers and cut tone holes. Please see pictures for details. The serial number on the horn is “331382” making this a vintage 1948 10M tenor saxophone. The engraving on the bell reads “Made-By C.G. Conn LTD. Elkhart Ind. U.S.A.” with the Naked Lady full bust engraving. “10M  PAT. APP’D FOR B” is engraved on the back of the horn above the serial number and "L" below the serial number. This denotes that the horn is in low pitch. Until 1940, Conn made horns both high and low pitched. The neck is in good condition with some light dents and dings and no evidence of pull down. It has a new MTS custom hard-shell memory foam case with a handle on the side and the end. There is no mouthpiece included.
