This Holton Collegiate 3 valve F bell front alto horn is in good condition with 90-95% of the lacquered finish remaining. There is some light lacquer scratching throughout the entire horn.  The most noticeable wear is to the grip spot on the top of the outside body. There are a few small dings throughout the horn from the outside body bow, into the bottom bow and up into the bell.  All of the dents are very minor.  The bell edge does have a slight wave to it.   The serial number is “354410” making this a vintage 1962 horn. The engraving on the bell reads “Collegiate by Holton Elkhorn, Wis. U.S.A.”. It comes with its Eb tuning slide extenders so you can play in Eb as well as F. No mouthpiece is included. It comes in the original case in older used condition. Please note there is paint on the side of the case. This is a great playing little alto horn! The horn plays well and the valves are nice and quick. It plays with a nice big sound and really opens up in the upper register.
