H. Couf Superba I Baritone Saxophone Serial#79885
Description
This H. Couf Superba I Baritone Saxophone Serial#79885 is in very good condition with 80-85% of the original lacquer and light player wear over the horn. there are some spot re-lacquer sections where braces or posts have been re-soldered. The key guard at the very top of the body is missing its button. There are multiple visible re-solder points and the top right hand palm key has been repaired and re-attached. The bow guard has been resoldered. There is light evidence of dent removal in the top of the body. Someone added a reinforcement ring on either side of the neck strap ring. Please see pictures for details. The serial number is “79885”. The engraving on the bell is beautiful with scrolling filigree down the bell and into the bow. The engraving on the bell reads "H. Couf Superba I Elkhart, Ind., USA". Engraved above the serial number is "Made in Germany" and engraved going down the back of the body below the neck strap ring is "Made in West Germany Exclusively for W.T. Armstrong Company by Julius Keilwerth Musical Instrument Factory". The neck is in very good condition has is engraved with "H. Couf". There are a couple of very minor dings in the neck. This baritone saxophone comes in a good used condition replacement case. No mouthpiece is included. This horn has been played a lot, it is a great playing instrument. There are some minor aesthetic issues due to some resolders but it doesn’t affect the fact that this is a great sounding saxophone.

The Case: Good used condition (General wear with some edge wear and visible surface scratches).
