This Yanagisawa Elimona 800 tenor saxophone is in excellent condition with 90-95% of the original lacquer. There is light player wear across the instrument. There are a couple of areas that show a little heavier wear than the rest of the horn, please see the back of the saxophone near the serial number and on the back of the bell in the flair. Please see the photos for more details. It has just come from the shop where it was cleaned, adjusted, and had any pads necessary replaced so it looks great and it plays wonderfully. There are some very light dings in the bow mostly felt rather than seen. The serial number is “01801967” making this a 1990’s tenor saxophone. Above the serial number is engraved “Japan 800” with the Yanagisawa symbol. The engraving on the bell is crisp and beautiful. The raised Yanagisawa symbol is on the top of the bell surrounded by engraved, swirling leaves. Below that is engraved “Yanagisawa” with the R trademark sign. The word “Elimona” is engraved at the bottom bell ring. This tenor saxophone comes with the original “Yanagisawa Made in Japan” neck that is also in good condition and has no evidence of pulldown. The bottom of the cork has a small chip in it, please see pictures for details. It comes with a good, used replacement case. No mouthpiece is included. This saxophone has a beautiful sound with excellent intonation in both the upper and lower registers, with clear overtones.
