Description
This Yamaha YHR-662 double french horn is in great condition with 80-85% of its lacquered finish remaining. There are a couple of spots where braces were re-soldered that has some spot re-lacquering. There is evidence of dent removal in the outside bow and a small ding on the hand brace for the outside bow. The bell has almost no dents to speak of and there are some extremely minor dings that are nearly impossible to see and are better felt. Please see pictures for more details. The serial number on the french horn is “000231” making this a vintage 1970’s double french horn. The bell engraving reads “YHR 662 Japan”. “YHR-662” is engraved above the serial number on the underside of the valve bar with “Yamaha” engraved on the top side. This french horn comes in a good used condition replacement case. No mouthpiece is included. The valves are working well and all of the slides are able to be pulled. This horn plays great up and down its registers. This is a very free blowing horn as you would expect from a Yamaha and it plays very nicely in tune!

The Bell: Almost no dents and no evidence of bell edge damage.
The Mouthpiece: No Mouthpiece is included, or other accessories.
The Case: Good used condition (General wear with some edge wear and visible surface scratches).
Engraving: YHR 662 Japan (on the bell in the sticker style engraving) YHR-662 (above the serial number on the underside of the valve bar) Yamaha (on the top side of the valve bar).
