Description
This Yamaha 281 flute is in very good condition with 95%+ of the original silver plating. There is only a little bit of tarnishing around the edge of a few keyholes. There is some regular very light player wear throughout the instrument and there are a couple of scratches on the edge of the crown on the head joint. This flute has just come back from the shop where it was checked over and adjusted as needed. There is a very slight ding in the foot joint and a couple of nearly invisible dings in the head joint that are easier to feel than see. The serial number on the flute is “796114”. The engraving on the body joint reads “Yamaha 281 Established In 1887 Made in Japan.” The Yamaha tuning fork symbol is engraved in the head joint. The flute has open tone holes and an in-line G. No plugs are included for the open tone holes. It comes in the original Yamaha case in good used condition. This is an excellent intermediate step-up flute with no B foot. It plays great!
