Beautiful Silver “Peashooter” Trumpet

Description

This unmarked silver “peashooter” trumpet is in beautiful condition. The original silver plating on this is 97%+ with 70-75% of the gold wash bell remaining. The silver finish is a brushed finish with polished accents.  There is a visible re-solder point at the brace in the main tuning slide and there are a couple of extremely minor dings in the inside crook of the main tuning slide. The stopper for the third valve tuning slide guide is missing. The main tuning slide and the third valve tuning slide have two separate pieces that can be adjusted. The main tuning slide has a microtuner mechanism. Please see pictures for details.  The serial number on the trumpet is “5940”. The engraving on the bell is beautiful with leaves and flowers engraved with a space left open in the middle where you would typically see the brand of trumpet or model engraved.  There is no brand or model engraving on this trumpet. It feels reminiscent of the Cleveland Greyhound trumpets. Engraved on the second valve casing under the serial number is “Made in U.S.A.”.  The horn comes in the original case which is in older used condition. No mouthpiece is included.  This trumpet plays great from top to bottom.  It has a really strong projection with the small bore that you get with these peashooter trumpets.  The valves are nice and quick and the instrument plays very well in tune.
