Description
This Martin The Martin Committee silver cornet is in beautiful shape with 97% or more of the original silver plating and 95%+ of the gold wash bell. There were some dents removed from the main tuning slide, the back bell bow and the bell. There is light evidence of bell dent removal in the bell. The second valve finger button is a very close match to the first and third finger buttons but is a replacement. The first valve finger button has a very small chip in it. Please see pictures for details. The serial number is “180856” which makes it a 1952 vintage horn. The engraving on the bell is still nice and crisp it reads “The Martin -Committee-Model- Elkhart-Ind. -U-S-A-” in an engraved badge. Below the engraving the words “Hamtramck Public Schools” has been added. It comes in a replacement case which is in good condition. No mouthpiece is included. This horn plays beautifully! It has a perfectly clear tone and really sings in its upper register. The valves are nice and quick. It is a super fun horn to play!

The Case: Good used condition (general wear with some edge wear and visible surface scratches).
