This Cleveland “The Cleveland” silver cornet by The HN White Co. is in fabulous condition with 95% or more of the original silver plating. This horn has two spit keys and a medium bore, as evident from the M engraved below the serial number. This cornet has a brushed silver finish and a gold wash bell. There is a patch along the lead pipe between the pinky hook and the water key on the inside of the horn. The serial number is C-48519 making this a vintage 1945-1950 horn. The engraving on the bell is beautifully clear and reads “The Cleveland Made By The HN White Co. Cleveland Ohio”. It comes in a replacement case which is in good condition. No mouthpiece is included.
This cornet has a beautiful sound and it plays wonderfully from top to bottom. The valves are nice and quick. It is well balanced in your hand and plays with lovely overtones.
