This Selmer Depose two tone trumpet is in mint condition. It has98%+ of the original lacquer with 96%+ of the silver accents. There are only a couple of very minor dings that we were able to find in the horn. There is a ding in the bell flair next to the bell ring and a couple of dings in the back of the bell. Please see the photos for more details. The serial number for the horn is “12730” making this a 1953 vintage horn. Above the serial number on the 2nd valve casing are the words “Henri Selmer Paris” in laurel leaves. The engraving on the bell is gorgeous reads “Henri Selmer Paris” surrounded by laurel leaves “Depose Brevente France & Etranger Selmer Fabrique en France par H. Selmer & Cie Place Dancort, Paris Made in France”. All around the words are beautiful scrolling leaves and flowers. The horn comes in a replacement Bach case which is still in excellent condition. A good used Selmer “Special” 4 mouthpiece is included. This trumpet plays beautifully up and down. The valves have fantastic action. This horn is a very flexible horn and it responds very quickly to the player. This is one of those horns that plays as beautifully as it looks!
