This Reynolds Contempra Chambers Model Double French Horn in very good condition with 80-85% of the original lacquer and light player wear across the horn. It has just come back from the shop where it was cleaned, adjusted, and all the dents take out so it plays fantastic.
There is some lacquer crazing on the body and lacquer wear where the dents were taken out of the bell, bow and body. There are also two tiny dings in the lead pipe but otherwise, this horn doesn’t have any dents, dings, or resoldered metal. The serial number is 59493 making this a late 1950’s early 1960’s vintage French Horn. The horn comes with the original case in good condition. No mouthpiece is included.
This Reynolds Chamber French Horn has a rounder, richer sound that most french horns. If you know this model then you know this is typical for a Chambers Model and is part of the reason it is so sought after.
