This trumpet is a rare G. Leblanc Paris Gold Plated Model 707 Sonic Trumpet with a .453 bore. The serial number makes it one of the early French vintage trumpets. Leblanc never published their serial number list so it is hard to give it an exact date. Beneath the serial number on the 2nd valve it says “Made in France”. The model “707 Sonic” can be found on the mouthpiece receiver. There is engraving all the way up the bell extending past the valves. The engraving has flowers and leaves with the words “G. Leblanc Paris” engraved on the bell. There is beautiful scroll work all the way around the edge of the finger buttons and valve caps both on the top and bottom. There is also scrolling on all of the tuning slides. There is furthermore a trademark vintage counterweight with the two raised heads on it and the words “Leblanc Paris Manufacture Aristique Instruments De Musique”. It comes in a replacement Bach case which is in good condition. There is no mouthpiece included with this horn. There has been some dent removal on the back bell bow, first valve tuning slide, second valve tuning slide and the main tuning slides. The pull knobs are missing from the first and second valve tuning slides. This horn is a true work of art. This instrument plays beautifully! It has a wonderful smooth tone to it and is nice and free blowing from top to bottom.
