This Olds Studio Model Trumpet is in very good condition with around 50-55% of the original lacquer and 85% of the original nickel/silver plating on the bell. The horn also has nickel/silver accents on the valve casings and tuning slides. It just got back from being cleaned and adjusted, so it plays well. There is one small dent on the bow but otherwise, the body is straight with no evidence of repairs or crumbled metal. The serial number makes it a 1953-1954 vintage horn. The engraving on the bell reads Studio Model F.E. Olds & Son Fullerton, Calif.” This horn comes in the original Olds case, which is still in good condition. No mouthpiece is included. This trumpet plays beautifully with great action in the valves. It has a brilliant upper register. The trumpet has wonderful overtones and good intonation.
