Description

This Olds Studio Model two tone herald trumpet is in excellent condition with 99% of its silver/nickel finish and lacquered finish and very light player wear on the horn. There is the smallest dent in the middle of the bell throat above the banner hook closest to the bell and a dent in the first valve tuning slide.  There are a couple of very small dents in the second valve tuning slide that are mostly easier felt than seen.  The finger buttons are all replacement finger buttons that all match. Please see pictures for details. In our research on these herald trumpets it was suggested that the Studio Model herald trumpets are nearly a foot longer than the traditional herald trumpets, making them the longest model of herald trumpets out there. The serial number on the trumpet is “561882” making this a vintage 1966 trumpet. The engraving on the bell is still clean and crisp. It reads “Studio Model Made By F.E. Olds & Son Fullerton Calif.” This horn comes in the original vintage case in good condition. No mouthpiece is included. This is a great playing Herald trumpet! It has a beautiful tone and is super fun to play.  The experience of the sound coming out of the horn coming out so far away from your body is a totally new way of hearing yourself play than what you are use to with a typical trumpet.  The valves are nice and smooth.  The horn plays just as beautifully as it looks.

*Herald trumpets are often purchased in pairs or sets.  If you are looking to have a set of trumpets we do have multiple available.

*Please note in order to fit the entire trumpet in one picture we did lay the bell across the valve section.  The overall picture does not show the trumpet put together.
