Olds Studio Model Two Tone Trumpet 1940’s Serial #35016

Description

This Olds Studio Model Two Tone Trumpet is in very good condition with a raw brass finish, silver/nickel dipped bell, and silver/nickel accents on the body. It has just come back from the shop where it was cleaned and adjusted and a few small dents were taken out of the bow. The serial number on the horn makes it a vintage 1948-1949 horn. The engraving on the bell is gorgeous and still nice. It reads “Studio Model F.E. Olds & Son Los Angeles Calif.” The horn comes in replacement Bach Strad case which is good used condition with a replacement handle.  No mouthpiece is included.  The silver/nickel bell on the Olds Studio trumpets give them a unique sound it is warm and rounded with smooth overtones and good intonation. It plays beautifully from top to bottom and has an extra bit of sparkle in the upper register.
