Description

This vintage Olds Studio Model Herald trumpet is in good condition.  It has 50-55% of the lacquer and 90-95% of the silver/nickel finish remaining. Overall this instrument is in good condition. There is a more visible dent on the underside of the bell throat on the opposite side of the engraving.  Just beyond the halfway point moving towards the bell flair you can see in pictures a slight slant upwards in the bell throat.  This instrument does not have a bell tightening screw included. The serial number is 231463 making this a vintage 1956-1957 trumpet. The Studio Model Herald Trumpets are nearly a foot longer than the traditional Herald trumpets – making them the longest model for Herald Trumpets out there.  The engraving on the bell is easy to read and says “Studio Model Made-By F.E. Olds & Son Fullerton Calif.” It comes in the original Olds case that is missing the compartment lid for the valve casing.  No mouthpiece is included.  This Herald trumpet plays very well up and down.  It has really good intonation and has a great upper register!
*Herald trumpets are often purchased in pairs or sets.  If you are looking to have a set of trumpets we do have multiple available.
*Please note in order to fit the entire trumpet in one picture we did lay the bell across the valve section.  The overall picture does not show the trumpet put together.
