Description
This vintage Martin Centennial tenor saxophone is in good condition with 40-45% of the original lacquer. There is medium player wear across the horn. This is a very well-loved horn. There is a patch next to the bottom thumb rest where the player’s thumb would have constantly rubbed against the horn and a couple of key guards have been re-soldered. Please see the pictures for details. The serial number is “140919” making this a 1941 vintage saxophone. The engraving on the bell reads “Martin Centennial Model Elkhart Ind. -U-S-A-” with flowers scrolling all the way down into the bottom bow. The neck does have the matching serial number to the horn making it the original neck. The neck cork is older and may need to be replaced down the road. No mouthpiece or accessories are included. A good used metal neck plug is included. It has the original dual-pack case that is in older used condition. Please note no other instruments are being sold in the case except this Martin Centennial tenor.

The Finish: It has approximately 40-45% of the lacquered finish.
Player Wear: Medium general wear (visible lacquer or surface scratches and/or evidence of dent removal/repair).
The Bell: Almost no dents and minor bell edge damage with evidence of a bell lip pull-down removal.
The Bow: Light dent in the bottom bow or bow guard.
Pad Condition: The pads are in a combination of newer and older used conditions.
Resonator Type: Combination of plastic resonators and rivets.
The Neck: The neck has approximately 40-45% of the finish remaining with light general wear (possible surface scratches and/or minor dents/dings).
The Mouthpiece: No mouthpiece, ligature, or accessories are included. A good used condition metal neck plug is included.
The Case: Original dual-pack case in older used condition (Still usable but significant signs of physical wear).
Engraving: Martin Centennial Model Elkhart Ind. -U-S-A- (on the bell).
