This Ludwig Scotch 6 x 28 silver sparkle pearl wood bass drum is in very good condition. The laminate finish over the wood has some very light aging wear that is uniform across the entire drum. The sparkle finish is beautiful! The Keystone badge is in excellent condition and the inside of the wood shell has “Mar 8 1956” stamped in black ink on the inside. The heads are both in good used condition and there is a strip of felt across – please see pictures. Both hoops are in great shape with very minor warping and the paint does have some flaking along the edges. One of the hoops does have a 3-4 inch section of the laminate missing from the hoop inlay and the other hoop has a part of the laminate strip that is missing for a panel. Please see the pictures for details. No case is included.
Badge Type: Keystone
Badge Condition: Excellent
Material/Finish: Laminate over wood. There is some very light aging that is uniform across the whole drum. There is some tape on the laminate and we started to remove the tape but noticed that because of how long the tape had been on there the aging wear is not under the tape so we will leave that up to you as to whether you wish to remove the tape or not.
Wood Shell Condition: Very light general wear. White wash interior with a date stamp that reads “Mar 8 1956” in black ink. The last number is difficult to tell but we believe it to be a 6.
Heads: Good used condition.
Lugs: 10 Bowtie lugs. We do not guarantee that all lug screws are original.
Hoop Condition (Wear/Pitting/Flaking or Rust): Light general wear. The paint is flaking on the edges of the hoops please see pictures. The laminate strip on one of the hoops is missing for one panel please see pictures. The other hoop is missing about 3-4 inches of laminate from one section of the hoop.
Player Wear: Very light general wear (minor if any surface imperfections).
