This King Zephyr Tenor Saxophone 1960’s Serial #379538 has 80-85% of the original lacquer with medium lacquer wear over the entire horn. There is also 80-85% of the finish on the silver plated key work with some light player wear on 3 of the player touch spots. The engraving reads “King Zephyr Made by the H.N. White Co. Cleveland Ohio”. This Zephyr is a 1961-1962 vintage with no dents or dings and is all original including the key guards and the silver neck plug. The pads are in good used condition with metal resonators. All the corks and felts are in good used condition. The neck is original in the sleeve style and in very good condition with only light player wear. The cork on the neck is also in good used condition. There is no evidence of damage, repair or pull down. The case is original in good to very good condition. No mouthpiece included. The Zephyrs of this vintage have really been coming on over the past couple of years especially when they have sleeve necks. These are about as close as you can get to the Super 20’s without the Super 20 price tag. Known for great action and a super dark mellow sound, this horn has excellent overtones.
