Description
This King Zephyr alto saxophone is in good to very good condition. It has approximately 75-80% of the original lacquer with light lacquer scratching over the entire instrument. There are some light dents in the back of the bow. There is a very minor ding above the engraving and just below the bell ring where it was dinged on the inside of the bell. As a vintage horn this has had some repairs done throughout its lifetime as you can see in pictures please send us a message if you have any questions on them. This vintage Zephyr really plays great! It has very good used pads with a couple of older used pads throughout the saxophone. The serial number on the horn is “376560” making this a vintage 1960-1961 Zephyr Series II saxophone. The engraving on the bell still looks good and reads “King Zephyr Made by The H.N. White Co. Cleveland Ohio”. This horn comes with the original double socket/sleeve style neck, which has approximately 45-50% of its original lacquer remaining. The neck has a couple of dents along the top under the octave key where the octave key repair is.  It comes in a vintage older used case. No mouthpiece is included. These vintage Zephyr’s are really getting hot! They have very similar characteristics to the Super 20’s. This is a great alternative to those who want that Super 20 sound without the investment.
