Description

This King Super 20 tenor saxophone is in very good condition with around 80-85% of the original lacquer. It has just come back from being cleaned and adjusted so it plays very well. There are some braces that have been re-soldered on key guards and the leg guard. Most of the wear is concentrated on the leg side of the instrument on the lower half of the body and the bell. The saxophone has its mother-of-pearl rollers and palm/pinkie keys. One of the leg guards does need a re-solder.  Please see the photos for more details. The serial number is “303260″ making this a 1949 vintage tenor saxophone. The engraving on the bell reads “King Super 20 The H.N. White Co. Cleveland Ohio.”. There are incredibly ornate leaves and flowers engraved around the words and down the bell. The bell keys are engraved as well. This tenor saxophone comes with the original sterling silver sleeve/double socket neck with the underslung octave mechanism and matching serial number.  The neck is in good condition and is a sterling style neck with about 60% of the lacquer on the socket style remaining.  It comes in an older used case.  No mouthpiece is included.
