Description

This King Silversonic two tone cornet  Complete overhaul has 100%+ of the original lacquer and 100%+ of the clear lacquer finish over the sterling silver bell. This model has the microtuner on the main tuning slide. It looks like the only place where any of the lacquer is missing is on the finger buttons.  The finger buttons are original. The second valve finger button looks to be silver instead of lacquered.  Please see pictures for details. The serial number is “370431” making this a 1960’s vintage horn. The engraving reads “King Silver-Sonic Made by The H.N. White Co. Cleveland Ohio. Sterling Bell” on the bell. It comes in the original case and is in older used condition with age wear to the bindings on the edge and tape on it. No mouthpiece is included. The sterling silver bells on the Silversonic models gives them a classic sound. This horn is no exception and has the super-rich tone and exceptional overtones that Silversonic models are known to produce. This cornet has an exceptional brilliance in the upper register and it plays beautifully up and down. It has great response. This is probably one of the more beautiful horns that King ever made.
