Description

This vintage King Silversonic trumpet is in pristine condition. The body has been completely re-lacquered and it has the signature sterling silver bell. It has approximately 99%+ of the re-lacqured finish and 99%+ of the clear lacquer finish on the sterling silver bell. The engraving on the bell reads “King Silversonic Made By The H.N. White Co Cleveland Ohio.” It also has the sterling silver mark on the top of the bell. There are a couple of points on the bell where the clear finish is just barely flaking around the bell ring. There is one super small bit of wear to the silver in the bell throat near the valve section.  The serial number is “380633” making this a vintage 1960-1965 horn. The third valve tuning slide and the main tuning slide both are two-part tuning slides.  As it comes apart you will see the numbers 633 engraved indicating that this is original to this horn.  It comes with a vintage King “M18” mouthpiece. It comes with a replacement King case in good condition. This is an incredibly sweet playing horn. The Silversonics are starting to become quite rare and this is an excellent horn!  It is easy to tell that this was made during King’s hay day of manufacturing musical instruments.  It plays incredibly well up and down its register.  The valves have fantastic action and that sterling bell gives it that extra sparkle in the tone – particularly in the upper register.  This is an incredibly fantastic horn to play!
