Description
This King Micro-Sonic metal Bb soprano clarinet is in excellent condition with a sterling silver bell and 95% or more of the silver plating remaining. The gold wash bell has approximately 95% or more of its finish remaining. This horn has just come back from the shop where the body was cleaned and the keys were polished so it looks fantastic. There is typical light player wear throughout the clarinet as you would expect to find. There is a very minor ding in the barrel which is almost invisible to the eye and is easier to feel. The middle of the clarinet has a brace installed making this a single piece clarinet instead of a two-piece clarinet. The locking pin was broken and the brace installed in its place. Please see pictures for details. The serial number for this clarinet is “269339” making this a vintage 1940-1945 clarinet. The engraving on the bell is beautiful and reads “King Micro-Sonic Made by The H.N. White Co. Cleveland Ohio”. Engraved above the serial number on the top of the body is “SL” denoting that the clarinet is silver-lined. This model has the microtuner barrel instead of the telescopic barrel. No mouthpiece is included. The original lyre is included and is in very good used condition. It comes in an older used replacement case. The clarinet is in excellent playing condition with a nice clear sound.Â
