Description
This King Master Model cornet is in great condition with 65-70% of the original lacquer. It has uneven medium speckle wear across the horn. It has just been completely cleaned, buffed and flushed. There are only a few very small dents or dings in the horn along with a single patch to the tubing from the main tuning slide into the third valve casing. There is a slight tip to the lead pipe and the bell shows light evidence of bell dent removal. Please see pictures for details. The serial number on this horn is “347581” which makes this a 1955 vintage cornet. The third valve tuning slide is a two-part tuning slide. As it comes apart you will see the numbers “581” engraved indicating that this is original to this horn. The engraving on this bell is beautiful and crisp it reads “King Master Made By The H.N. White Co. Cleveland Ohio.” This comes in a good used condition replacement case. No mouthpiece is included. This cornet has a wonderful tone. It plays just like you would expect a King to play – with lots of power and flexibility. The horn has super quick valves that have really good action but are just a little noisy as they rebound back up to open position. This is one of those horns that from the first note you know is a great horn!
