Description

This King 3 valve F bell front silver alto horn is in very good condition with 95%+ of the silver finish and 95%+ of the gold wash bell finish remaining. This is a satin finish with polished accents.  It could use some polishing as you can see and physically there are almost no dents to be found in the horn.  The lead pipe is tipped down just slightly. There is a very small ding in the bottom bow guard. The bell has some light evidence of dent removal and the bell tightening screw is missing.  The bell tightening screw mount is a replacement. Please see pictures. The serial number is “342417” making this a vintage 1955-1960’s horn. The engraving on the bell reads “King The H.N. White Co. Cleveland Ohio.”. “417” is engraved on the bell tenon making this the original bell to this horn. This model alto horn has a detachable bell. A good used vintage King 9 mouthpiece is included. It comes with its Eb tuning slide extenders so you can play in Eb as well as F. It comes in the original case which is in older used condition and has tape on it.  This is a really beautiful horn that plays great! This horn has that definite King sound to it. It plays beautifully from top to bottom with a super-rich sparkling tone!
