Description
This King 2B Liberty valve trombone is a great horn with 50-55% of the original lacquer and medium wear over the entire horn. The heaviest wear can be found on the upper part of the bell and the bow. There is a medium sized lacquer burn spot (both inside and outside on the bell) on the back of the bell. Please note the valve buttons are silver not lacquered and all three do match. There is a bit more lacquer burning towards the slide tip. Please see pictures for details. This horn has just come back from the shop where most of the dents and dings were taken out and the horn was cleaned and flushed so the valves are nice and smooth. There are multiple points where you can clearly see the re-solders that happened, they are not messy just visible so we wanted to note them. There is a patch on the lead pipe in between the third valve and the lyre mount on the bell side. Please see pictures for details. The serial number on this horn is “528266” making this a 1975-1980 vintage horn. The engraving on the bell is still clear with the image of a crown and then the words “King 2-B Liberty King Musical Instruments U.S.A.”. This trombone has the King counterweight with the image of a crown and the word “King” on both sides. It comes in the original case which is in very good used condition. No mouthpiece is included. This trombone has that signature 2B sound to it! It has a nice rich sound and plays very nicely in tune. The valves are nice and smooth and the tuning slides all pull easily. With the 2B bell this horn has really great projection making it great for lead playing!
