King 2B Liberty Trombone Serial #449178
This vintage 2B is Mint. This instrument has just come back from a complete overhaul. The lacquer is a custom two tone finish with silver accents which replicates the original finish. We very lightly hand buffed the bell so the engraving is still very sharp. It reads King 2-B Liberty. King Musical Instrument Company East Lake Ohio. The serial number reads 449178 making it a late 1960’s horn. It also comes with the original King vintage counterweight. The slide hand brace serial number and the outer slide have matching serial numbers. The trombone comes with a good used vintage King case but it is not the original case. The slide on this trombone is perfect.
What a well balanced horn! It has that super rich beautiful King sound. The trombone really sings from top to bottom! The horn just feels good in your hand and is very responsive. It plays fantastic, specifically in the upper range – there is a reason these are considered to be some of the best lead lyric trombones ever made!
