Description
This Puchner Wood Standard C Bassoon is in excellent condition. Made between 1964 and 1969 in Western Germany it has a beautiful wood grain and a fabulous sound. The engraving on the bell reads “Josef Puchner Original Germany Made in Western Germany”. The Boot Joint, Body and Wing Joint also all have “J. Puchner” engraved on them. Additionally the Body has “Made in Western Germany” on it. This horn also comes with the original #1 bocal which is in excellent condition. The engraving on the bocal reads “J. Puchner B 1”.  There are no cracks on the horn although there is a very small amount of checking in the finish due to the age of the instrument with general light surface wear over the entire instrument . (Please see pictures for more details.). The tenons are in very good shape and the tenon corks are all in very good used condition. The silver plating on the keys is in great condition and was recently buffed. This Puchner Bassoon has just come back from our shop where it had a total overall and was cleaned buffed and repadded with the right pads which are snow white and it is playing great. It also comes with a leg strap and the original Josef Puchner case, which is good used condition. Overall this is a fabulous Puchner Wood Bassoon
