Description
This Holton Collegiate 3 valve F bell front alto horn is in very good condition with 90-95% of the lacquered finish remaining. There are almost no dents in this horn. The few that you find are extremely minor. There is a very slight wave to the edge of the bell. Please see pictures. The serial number is “377534” making this a vintage 1964 horn. The engraving on the bell reads “Collegiate by Holton Elkhorn, Wis. U.S.A.”. It has its original Collegiate by Holton mouthpiece included in good used condition. It comes with its Eb tuning slide extenders so you can play in Eb as well as F. It comes in the original case in good used condition. The case does have some letters painted on it and one of the latches does not close as the wood in the case seems to have warped slightly over time. This is a great playing little alto horn! The horn plays well and the valves are nice and quick. It plays with a nice big sound and really opens up in the upper register.

The Case: Good used condition (general wear with some edge wear and visible surface scratches).
