Description
This Gretsch model 4157, 5 x 14 champagne sparkle pearl wood snare drum is in very good condition. The champagne sparkle pearl laminate has very light general wear and is in beautiful condition. The interior of the drum has a silver wash finish. There are two extra holes at both the snare throw and snare butt in the shell where someone had different hardware previously installed. There is a light chip by the grommet on the interior of the shell. It has a Gretsch 1920’s to 1960’s round badge that is in very good to excellent condition. The muffler functions well with a good felt. Both Gretsch cast hoops have light general wear with some light pitting that is starting to show and evidence of light stick marks on the batter side hoop. There is some extremely light pitting on the lugs. No case is included. No stand is included.

The paper label on the inside of the shell reads “That Great Gretsch Sound Gretsch Guaranteed for Life Drum Shell Model 4157 Serial 51058”.

Muffler: Functions well with good felt.
Heads: Good used condition. The batter side head has a dimple.
Lugs: 8 Streamline lugs. We do not guarantee that all lug screws are original. There is some very light pitting on the lugs.
Hoop Condition:Â The Gretsch cast hoops have light general wear. There is some pitting that is starting to show and there is some evidence of light stick marks on the batter side hoop.
Player Wear: Light general wear (possible light surface scratches).
Case: No case is included.
The Stand: No stand is included.
