Description
This Ernst Riedl Model 5 Professional Wood Bassoon Serial #8405 is in excellent condition and plays great. It has just come back from the shop where it was completely overhauled, cleaned, adjusted, and repadded. The original silver plating on the keys is 90% with light wear to a few touch spots. It has plastic lined tone holes and features the High D key. The tenons and boot are all in good condition and there are no cracks in the bell ring. There are some light scratches to the body but overall the body is in fantastic shape without any cracks or evidence of major repairs. Please see photos for more details. The bell reads “Ernst Riedl 5 8405” and on the back bottom of the bell are the words “Made in Czechoslovakia”. A no-name bocal is included. It comes with the original crutch and a replacement case in excellent condition. The boot’s serial number is 110. This Ernst Riedl Model 5 Bassoon has a darker, warm sound and good intonation.
