Additional Information: This is a great playing tuba! It has a nice fat sound to it and plays well up and down the register. Overall it is in very nice shape with some bumps and bruises from typical player wear for horns of this size. There is a patch on the bottom third valve tuning slide by the water key and a brace missing from the bottom of the bell to the inside body wrap (brace not included). The bell has a decent wave across the top where the lip was at one point pushed down and someone has done some light repair work to try to bring that back. Dents: Some dents or dings.
Playing Condition: This instrument is currently in very good playing condition.
The Finish: It has approximately 80-85% of the re-lacquered finish.
Player Wear: Light to medium general wear (visible surface scratches and wear and/or small-medium dents and dings).
Valve Condition: All the valves are in good working condition and all of the tuning slides are loose.
Lead Pipe Condition: Light general wear (possible light surface scratches and/or minor dents and dings).
Body Condition: Good condition.
Metal Condition: There is a patch on the bottom third valve tuning slide (see pictures).
Outside Body Bow Condition: Has a light dent in the outside bow with a small ding.
The Bell: Minor dents and dings and medium bell edge damage.
Bell Dent Removal/Repair: Light evidence.
The Bottom Bow: Has a light to medium dent in the bow guard with a couple of small dents and dings.
Overall Height from bow to top of the bell approximately: 35 inches.
Bell Diameter approximately: 18 inches.
The Mouthpiece: No mouthpiece is included, or other accessories.
The Case: A good used case is included and has a broken latch.
