Description

This Conn 72H Elkhart single rotor bass trombone is in very good condition and has light general player wear. It has 75-80% of the lacquered finish remaining with 60-65% of the silver accent finish and 80-85% of the rose brass/red brass slide finish remaining.  There is just the slightest tip forward in the top of the horn from the repair done right below the trigger where you see evidence of re-solder.  You can also see visible re-solders at the bell throat tenon to the inside wrap and at the slide tip crook. Please see pictures for details. The serial number is “E76329” making this a vintage 1965 trombone. The engraving on the bell reads “Conn Elkhart-Ind. U.S.A.”. “72H” is engraved on the slide receiver and above the serial number on the outer slide. The trigger is in good working condition and all of the tuning slides are loose.  It comes in a good used condition replacement Bach case showing some wear to the bottom of the case. No mouthpiece is included. This is a fabulous playing large bore professional single rotor bass trombone! The low end is nice and full and resonates wonderfully.  The slide is very smooth and overall the instrument is a really fun horn to play.  You get some big time power in the bottom end and plays beautifully into its upper register as well!
