Description
This Conn 71H single rotor bass trombone is in very good condition and has light general player wear. There is light lacquer scratching throughout from typical player wear. There is a spot of heavier lacquer wear on the bottom of the bottom slide. The tip crook guard is a replacement and you are able to see where the finish was burned slightly to remove the original guard and take dents out of the crook. There is light evidence of bell dent removal. There are some light dents in the F attachment tuning slide. The main tuning slide has almost no dents to speak of. Please see pictures for details. The serial number is “N45834” making this a vintage 1970 trombone. The engraving on the bell reads “Conn Elkhart Ind. USA”. “71H” is engraved in front of the serial number on the slide receiver and the outer slide. The trigger is in good working condition and all of the tuning slides are loose. It comes an older used condition case that has tape on the corner edges of the case. A good used condition large bore Remington mouthpiece is included. This is a great playing large bore professional single rotor bass trombone! This trombone has that nice big Conn sound – especially in its lower register. The 9 1/2 inch bell gives the instrument a nice broad open sound. The slide is very smooth and the instrument plays evenly up and down its registers with lovely overtones.
