Description
This Cabart wood oboe is in very good condition with 80-85% of the original key plating remaining. It has just come back from the shop, so it plays great. There has been repair work done to a crack that leads from the back of the top of the lower body joint down to the thumb rest. There is a small crack in the top of the lower body joint in the front. It goes through the engraving and stops at the top of the first tone hole. Please see pictures for details. The serial number on the oboe is “CC14”. The engraving on the bell reads “Cabart A Paris”. “Made in France” is engraved on the back of the upper body joint with “Cabart A Paris” on the front of each of the body joints. This oboe has the split D key, F resonance key and the left-hand F key. Please see the photos for the exact key work. It also comes in an older used condition replacement case. No accessories are included. This oboe has a nice mellow sound and the intonation is good throughout the horn. It plays easily up and down the register.
