Vintage trumpet in very good condition with 80% of the original silver plating.

Description

This C.G. Conn 22B New York Symphony Late Model Silver Trumpet is in very good condition with around 80% of the original silver plating.  Almost all of the wear is concentrated on the valve casing from player grip wear. It has just come back from the shop where it was cleaned and adjusted, so it plays very well. Several dents were taken out of the bow, main tuning slide and second valve tuning slide. At some point the two braces to the lead pipe were replaced to angled braces. There is a patch on the first valve tuning slide and the stopper and rod for the main tuning slide is not here.  The second and third valve finger button pearls have some light chipping. The engraving on the bell is gorgeous and reads “C.G. Conn Ltd. U.S.A. Elkhart-IND 339222” surrounded by scrolling engraving that goes all the way up to the valve casing. “U.S.” is also engraved in script on the flare of the bell. “22B” is engraved on the bottom of the mouthpiece receiver and “Patented” is on the second valve casing below the serial number. Please see the pictures for the exact details regarding this beautiful engraving. The horn comes in a replacement case, which is in good used condition. No mouthpiece is included. This trumpet has a warm, rich sound that is a classic trait of a great Conn trumpet. It has a really nice responsive singing tone particularly in the upper register.  The sound really cuts through and has a nice full sweet sound.
