Description
This C.G. Conn New Wonder I silver tenor saxophone is in excellent condition with 90-95% of the brushed silver finish and gold wash bell remaining. There are a couple of visible re-solder points at key guards, body posts, and the neck tenon receiver at the top of the horn. Please see the pictures for details. The serial number on the horn is “115118” making this a vintage 1923 tenor saxophone. The engraving on the bell reads “Made by C.G. Conn LTD. Elkhart-Ind. U.S.A.”. “PATD.DEC.8.1914. 1119954 T” is engraved on the back of the horn above the serial number with “L” engraved below the serial number. This denotes that the horn is in low pitch. Until 1940, Conn made horns both high and low-pitched. The condition of the neck is very good and shows the saddle has been re-soldered and shows evidence of dent removal. It comes in a good used replacement case. There is no mouthpiece included.
