This C.G. Conn 6M VIII alto saxophone with Naked Lady engraving has just come back from the shop where it was completely overhauled, re-padded and re-lacquered with our custom vintage lacquer. The custom vintage color is hand mixed, and it has that dark honey brown color without being like a King gold or a Yamaha clear. This saxophone is absolutely gorgeous, in mint condition with all original parts. The engraving was hand buffed before the re-lacquer to keep the engraving as sharp as possible. The engraving on the bell reads “Made By C.G. Conn LTD. Elkhart-Ind. U.S.A.” with the full bust Naked Lady portrait. On the back of the saxophone near the serial number is engraved “6M VIII PAT.APP’D FOR A 279992 L”. This denotes that the horn is in low pitch. Until 1940, Conn made horns both high and low pitched. The neck also has “VIII” engraved on it. The serial number is 279992 making this a vintage 1937 horn. This model has rolled tone holes, a sleeve style neck, under slung octave mechanism, and a tunable neck sleeve. It comes in a new replacement gator body pack case. No mouthpiece is included. This saxophone looks and plays beautifully!
