Description

This C.G. Conn 6M alto saxophone with Naked Lady full bust engraving has 60-65% of the lacquered finish remaining with a majority of the wear to the finish on the bottom bow and around the engraving.  There is evidence of dent removal in the bottom bow on the leg side. Please see pictures for details. The serial number on the saxophone reads “356438” making this a 1953 vintage horn. Engraved on the back of the horn is “6M PAT.APP’D. FOR E 356438 L”. The engraved letter “L” below the serial number denotes that the horn is in low pitch. Until the mid-1940’s, Conn made both high, and low pitched horns. Engraved on the bell is “Made-By C.G. Conn LTD. Elkhart-Ind. U.S.A.” with the Naked Lady full bust engraving below. This saxophone has cut tone holes, mother of pearl rollers, wire key guards and the original double socket/sleeve style neck with the underslung octave key. The neck is in very good condition with evidence of pull down removal. It comes with a case in good used condition. This horn does not come with a mouthpiece.
