With an impressive 98%+ lacquer finish remaining this saxophone is  a near-mint gem from 1946. Adorned with the iconic Naked Lady full bust engraving, the saxophone tells a story of elegance. Conn’s classic mother-of-pearl rolled tone holes, wire key guards, and original neck reveal its heritage. The microtuner double socket/sleeve style neck is in great shape. Description

This C.G. Conn 6M alto saxophone with Naked Lady full bust engraving has 98%+ of the lacquer finish remaining. This is as close to mint as you could find for a vintage horn! There is some slight signs of oxidations on the tone holes for the bell keys and at the base of the bell. Please see pictures for details. The serial number on the saxophone reads “316611” making this a 1946 vintage horn. Engraved on the back of the horn is “6M PAT.APP’D FOR E 316611 L”. The engraved letter “L” below the serial number denotes that the horn is in Low Pitch. Until the mid-1940’s, Conn made both high, and low pitched horns. Engraved on the bell is “Made-By C.G. Conn LTD. Elkhart-Ind. U.S.A.” with the Naked Lady full bust engraving below. This saxophone has Conn’s classic rolled tone holes, wire key guards, mother of pear rollers and the original neck. The microtuner neck is the double socket/sleeve style neck with the under slung octave mechanism. The neck is in very good condition! The case is original and in good used condition. This horn does not come with a mouthpiece.
