Description
This C.G. Conn 6D double french horn is in good condition with 75-80% of its lacquered finish remaining. The bell is a replacement C.G. Conn bell as you can see where the previous lead pipe was soldered onto the throat of the bell. There are multiple points of re-solder visible through the wrap. Please note there a few points where there is some light lacquer burning around the re-solders. There are some light dents and dings throughout the horn and in the tuning slides. The bell does have some light evidence of dent removal. The fourth valve cap is a lacquered cap instead of silver. Please see pictures for more details. The serial number on the french horn is “N52413” making this a vintage 1970 horn. The engraving on the bell reads “C.G. Conn LTD. U.S.A.”. This french horn comes in a good used condition case. No mouthpiece is included. This C.G. Conn Double French Horn has a beautiful full sound from top to bottom. It is a surprisingly great sounding horn!
