Description
This C.G. Conn 2D Wonder Government Model silver piston single F french horn is in very good condition with 90%+ of its silver finish remaining. This horn has some minor dents and dings throughout the horn. You will see some on the top of the body, the outside bell bow, and the bell. The pinky hook is pushed into the body slightly. Please see pictures for more details. The serial number on the french horn is “401549” making this a vintage 1952 horn. In 1952 the U.S. Government ordered large number of instruments from Conn. These are invariably silver plated, and often with the serial number engraved on the bell. Included in that order was the 2D piston valve French Horn. This is essentially the same 2D Piston valve model that was produced in the 1920’s. The engraving on the bell reads “C.G. Conn LTD. U.S.A. U.S. 401549” and “2D” on the mouthpiece receiver. This french horn comes in its original case which is in older used condition. No mouthpiece is included. This is a really great rare find for a single F french horn! The piston valves have great action and are super smooth. The horn plays with a big Conn sound from top to bottom. This is a really fun horn to play on!

The Bell: Minor dents and dings and minor bell edge damage.
The Mouthpiece: No Mouthpiece is included, or other accessories.
The Case: Older used condition (Still usable but significant signs of physical wear).
