Description

This Buffet Crampon Super Dynaction alto saxophone is in excellent condition with around 85-90% of the original lacquer and the signature decorative pearl buttons on the key guards. The “Super Dynaction” is one of Buffet’s most famous and professional quality saxophones. This is also of the few saxophones that some people believe can compete with a Selmer Mark VI. This saxophone has just come from the shop where it was cleaned and adjusted, so it plays great. The pads are a mix of old and new, all of them are in good condition. This saxophone also features the articulated low F# key, along with the high F key and Buffet’s signature “BC” bell brace.  There is some light player wear to the touch spots and light wear across the horn, along with one dent in the bow and a small dent above the engraving on the back of the body of the horn. There is a crack down the middle of the left hand thumb rest. Please see the photos for more details. The serial number is 5693 making this a 1958-1959 vintage alto saxophone. Along the back of the body is engraved “Super Dynaction.” The engraving on the bell is still crisp and clean. It runs down the entirety of the bell and onto the front of the bow with the words “Buffet Crampon Paris France” displayed prominently.  This alto saxophone has the original neck with no evidence of pull down.  It also comes with a replacement case in very good condition. Included is a wooden neck plug. This alto saxophone has a gorgeous, even tone in both the upper and lower registers with warm overtones and crisp intonation.
