Description
This Buescher The Buescher “Big B” Aristocrat tenor saxophone has 75-80% of the original lacquer remaining with medium general lacquer wear over the entire horn. It has a clean straight body. One of the key guard’s feet was re-soldered and is slightly separated but not detached. This saxophone has ribbon key guards and brown cellulose rollers. The bottom bow has some evidence of dent removal. There are a few re-soldering points from key guards to the neck strap ring to the lyre mount and neck tightening screw ring. Please see the pictures for details. The serial number is “295950” making this a vintage 1942 saxophone. The engraving on the bell reads “B The Buescher Aristocrat Made in Elkhart-Ind. U.S.A.”. “Buescher” is engraved on the G# key and “Low Pitch PAT” under the serial number with the Triangle, Tuning Fork, and Bell logo. The neck is original and in good used condition. The neck looks as though it has had some light pull-down removal done and the cork is in great condition. The case is a good, used replacement case. No mouthpiece included. This horn is a great example of the classic Big B Aristocrats. It has a warm sound with smooth action and is in great condition.
