This Buescher The Buescher “Big B” Aristocrat True Tone 156 tenor saxophone has 60-70% of the original lacquer with medium general lacquer wear over the entire horn. It has a clean straight body. The bell-to-body brace has been re-soldered on the body side, please see pictures for details. The bottom bow feels like there has been some dent removal done. This is better felt than seen. There has been some very minor bell lip pull-down removal done as well. Please see the pictures for details. This saxophone has ribbon key guards and brown cellulose rollers. The serial number is “322099” making this a vintage 1949 tenor saxophone. Engraved on the bell is “B The Buescher Aristocrat Elkhart-Ind. U.S.A.”. “Buescher” is engraved on the G# key. Also engraved on the horn is “156 Buescher True Tone U.S. PAT. OFF.” below the serial number. The neck is original and the octave stick has been replaced. The case is original and in older, used condition. No mouthpiece included. This horn is a great example of the classic Big B Aristocrats. It has a warm sound and smooth action.

The Bow: Almost no dents in the bottom bow or bow guard.
Pad Condition: The pads are in very good used condition.
Resonator Type: Buescher snap-in pad/resonators.
The Neck: The neck has approximately 50-55% of the finish remaining with light general wear (possible surface scratches and/or minor dents/dings).
The Mouthpiece: No mouthpiece, ligature, or accessories are included.
The Case: Older used condition (Still usable but significant signs of physical wear).
