Blessing Junior Shepherd’s Crook Two Tone Cornet 1961 Serial #9431

Description

This Blessing Junior EK Blessing shepherd’s crook two tone cornet is in great condition. There are some visible re-solder points throughout the horn at some of the braces. There is evidence of dent removal in the main tuning slide, in the outside of the bell flair into the bell lip and the back bell bow.  The dent removal in the bell flair has left the bell edge with a slight wave to it.  The lead pipe is a replacement lacquered lead pipe.  The springs in the first and second valves are audible as they move.  This is mostly the first valve. It has a serial number of “9431” making it a 1961 vintage horn. The engraving on the bell is clean and crisp and reads “Blessing Junior E.K. Blessing Co. Elkhart Ind.”. No mouthpiece is included with the cornet and it comes in a good used replacement case. This cornet plays well up and down.  It has a lovely sound and plays nicely in tune!

Lead Pipe Condition: Very light general wear (minor if any surface imperfections).
Back Bell Bow Condition: Very light general wear (minor if any surface imperfections).
The Bell: No dents and minor bell edge damage.
Bell Diameter Approximately: 4 1/2 inches.
The Mouthpiece: No mouthpiece is included, or other accessories.
The Stand: If pictured, not included.
The Case: Good used condition (general wear with some edge wear and visible surface scratches).
Engraving: Blessing Junior E.K. Blessing Co. Elkhart Ind. (on the bell).
